For the money you pay £249 it's okay but not like a top brand noise is okay but not for bedroom. If you want to use to cool a bedroom when trying to sleep I would put it on the landing and blow cool air into the bedroom. Bought it for my conservatory as I work in there kept me cooler than a fan but because it was in the conservatory didn't lower the temperature too much. If used in a small living room it would be fine.
1 person found this helpfulMy first ever portable AC. It's important to note, I didn't need to use a window kit. These aren't suitable for push out/pull in windows if you use a kit. Only slide. That will need another type of kit if it isn't. In terms of value for money, I guess it's good? I don't know. It works, I can say that. Installation wasn't that easy. First problem is it's heavy (it's just about 20kg apparently). Second problem is the manual just, being extremely unfriendly to my ADHD. It's got so much going on. I just need a summary of what to look out for and what I need to do regularly for maintenance. Third problem is the hose. It's hard plastic, and because of that, it's hard to keep its shape and bend it. Mine is literally resting against a guitar and a sellotape holder (filled with sand), just to keep it in place, it also only has about, two meters of length, Fourth problem is the hose fitting, it's only one way, and it took me ages to figure that out. On top of that, because of the hard plastic and no locks, it begins a problem to fit the hose onto that fitting. Lastly, it's loud. You may be able to hear it through ear defenders. If you're sleeping, it definitely isn't adequate, sleeping mode does nothing but turn the LED down. Other than that, it cools my room down with minimal effort, the remote works well other than it having the ability to turn my fan on. It has temperature control. Fan speed. It'll do the job in a tight situation like mine. Good for a first floor (above ground floor) room with 13.8 square meters of space, a gaming computer that can top 85 degrees on CPU, with a AIO cooler mind you, and two monitors, plus me. The room reaches 27-32 degrees on hot days, the aircon after about half an hour can drop that by two degrees or more. It's hard to recommend because I don't know what a good portable air conditioner is like. It also has wheels, so that is handy for moving it around, plugging it in elsewhere.
I like the sleek design. The cooling effect is amazingly strong. It's a but heavy for what I'd call portable but then it does its job well. Can't have it all.
Bought this for my bedroom on un packing i was pleased to find it had included a window kit which makes it even better value. The unit cools my bedroom to a comfotable level only downside it's a little bit noisy but overall i would still recommend it.
Great size, quieter than our last unit. Friendly service too.
