It fitted into the gap I had, but the depth was just too much to fit the firebrick at the back of the fire. However it only stands out about two inches and still looks fabulous.

I love this fire ..it looks good and has been admired by everyone who has seen it.It heats very quickly and the coal effect is lovely ,the fact that it is remote control is an added bonus..I also love the price of this fire ..I can not find any fault with it and would recommend it
