Ideal Standard is one of the world's leading manufacturers of bathroom and sanitary accessories, particularly top-of-the-range taps. It is one of the leaders in plumbing products, thanks to its Ideal Standard brand, but also its other brands such as Porcher. It is based in BRUSSELS, Belgium. Ideal Standard has its origins in England, with the National Radiator Company created in 1936, and in Buffalo with the American Standard Company, created in 1892. Ideal Standard specialises in solutions for hospitals, local authorities, schools and nurseries, as well as private individuals. It also works with leading designers such as FRANCO BERTOLI, ROBIN LEVIEN, JEAN NOUVEL (architect of the Arab World Institute and the Palais des Congrès, as well as the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi) and ACHIM POHL. It employs 17,000 people, including 13,000 in Europe in 29 factories, and sells in 30 countries.
