The LaBlanc Refractometer is a hand-held tool designed to measure the sugar content of various liquids such as honey, vegetable oils, syrups, fruit jam, molasses and even drinks and soups. With a measuring range of 0-90% Brix and a resolution of 0.5% Brix, this device is ideal for professionals and cooking enthusiasts.

Installation

To calibrate the refractometer, use distilled water at 20°C.Make sure the device is at room temperature before measuring.

Usage

  • Place 2 or 3 drops of the sample on the main prism.
  • Close the cover plate.
  • Look through the window to read the Brix value.
The refractometer is equipped with an adjustable eyepiece for adjustment to the precise point, allowing clear reading of the results.
