Using the indicator light as a locator requires the permanent presence of both neutral and live wires at the switch. This means that in a two-way switch setup, the locator function will not work if the switch is wired on the load side (lamp or other). Consequently, if the switch is located on the load side of a two-way circuit, the indicator light will function as a power indicator.
