General description

Liberon Hard Wax Oil is a premium blend of oil and wax designed to provide superior protection for wooden flooring and furniture. It maintains the natural appearance of wood while forming a durable barrier against water, stains, heat, dirt, and wear. This product is particularly effective in humid environments such as kitchens and bathrooms, but it is suitable for use throughout the home. It can be applied to both bare wood and previously oiled wood, and it has a pleasant application experience with minimal odor.

Installation

Preparation: Ensure the wood is bare, clean, and dry.

For varnished, painted, or waxed wood: Remove all old finishes with a stripper or sand back to bare wood.

For oiled wood: Sand lightly with 240 grit paper and remove all dust.

For bare wood: Clean, sand lightly with 240 grit paper, and remove all dust.

Application: Stir the contents well before use. Apply the first coat thinly with a brush or roller and allow to dry for 8 hours. Sand with 240 grit paper and remove dust before applying a second coat, which should dry for 24 hours.

Usage

Can be applied with a brush or roller.

Tools can be easily cleaned with water.

The final finish may vary depending on the type of wood, especially with hardwoods.

Libéron is a French brand of V33, the leading manufacturer of paints and stains mainly for wood. The group owns the V33, Cecil, Diamantine, Libéron and Plastor brands. It was founded in 1953 in Domblans (Jura). In the 15th century, the royal abbey of Saint-Antoine des Champs obtained a privilege exempting craftsmen from paying taxes when they set up shop on its land. The Seine also provided cabinetmakers in particular with access to their raw materials. Georges Libéron made a name for himself at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 with his antiseptic and parasiticide polish. One of its variations was the famous Oké paste. In 1990, V33 acquired the Libéron group, which specialised in cabinetmaking products and was the French leader in its field, having invented the legendary Black Bison wax, a decorative product for all surfaces. V33 and Libéron are very committed to protecting the environment: 50% of production is solvent-free, glycol ethers have been eliminated, and great care is taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
