The Liberon Superior Decking Stain in Light Silver (5 litres) is a high-performance, versatile product designed to keep your decking looking great while providing reinforced protection and an outstanding finish. Its biosourced formula, made from vegetable oils and modified bio-based resins, minimizes environmental impact. This stain is water and UV resistant, featuring an anti-slip finish to enhance safety on wet surfaces.

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from previous finishes and dust.

Lightly sand new wood and clean old wood.

For hardwoods, expose for up to 12 months before application to open grain and improve adhesion.

Application

Test on an inconspicuous area, especially for exotic hardwoods.

Ideal conditions: Apply in dry weather, between 12°C and 25°C.

Stir well before use.

Use a brush or roller to apply a thin coat.

Even out any unabsorbed product to avoid marks.

Aftercare

Reapply another coat during the next season if necessary.

Clean regularly with water.

Clean tools with warm soapy water after use.

Libéron is a French brand of V33, the leading manufacturer of paints and stains mainly for wood. The group owns the V33, Cecil, Diamantine, Libéron and Plastor brands. It was founded in 1953 in Domblans (Jura). In the 15th century, the royal abbey of Saint-Antoine des Champs obtained a privilege exempting craftsmen from paying taxes when they set up shop on its land. The Seine also provided cabinetmakers in particular with access to their raw materials. Georges Libéron made a name for himself at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 with his antiseptic and parasiticide polish. One of its variations was the famous Oké paste. In 1990, V33 acquired the Libéron group, which specialised in cabinetmaking products and was the French leader in its field, having invented the legendary Black Bison wax, a decorative product for all surfaces. V33 and Libéron are very committed to protecting the environment: 50% of production is solvent-free, glycol ethers have been eliminated, and great care is taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
