The DHR242 model is a 24mm (15/16) Cordless Combination Hammer powered by an 18V Li-ion Battery, featuring an efficient Brushless DC motor that provides higher productivity than that of the 18V Cordless Combination Hammer model BHR202. Able to drill in concrete as fast or faster than the 24V Cordless Combination Hammer model BHR200. Makita’s first Cordless Combination Hammers with Dust extraction system.

The tool body is seperated into the upper and lower housings at the foot of handle portion where the houses are jointed with vibration absorbing cushion rubbers.

Unique rubber joint construction suppresses the transmission of vibration to battery terminals, minimizing battery failures such as terminal breakage or poor electrical contact.

As I already have other makita battery tools I decided to get the sds drill so as to not have to get out a lead and transformer out when needing to drill into masonry, being a carpenter this drill is good value and does exactly what I needed it for. Highly recommend.
