Product information

Description

Compact cutting solution for installers, maintenance technicians and confined-space operations The Makita DJR183RTJ is a cordless reciprocating saw within the 18V LXT platform, engineered for light-duty cutting and high maneuverability. It features a 13 mm stroke length and variable speed control from 0 to 3000 strokes per minute, allowing controlled performance across materials such as wood, plastic and light metal profiles. The dual-switch design (trigger and paddle) enables flexible handling in multiple working positions, particularly in overhead or restricted access applications. Tool-less blade change and adjustable shoe support efficient on-site operation. Within the Makita LXT range, this model is positioned as a compact alternative to higher stroke machines such as DJR186 or DJR187, prioritizing accessibility and control over aggressive cutting capacity. With a working weight between 1.5 and 1.8 kg including battery, it is suited for installation trades such as plumbing, HVAC and general maintenance. Integrated LED illumination improves visibility, while the battery protection system prevents deep discharge and extends pack lifespan.
