General description

The McAlpine A10V Water Seal Anti-Syphon Bottle Trap is a plumbing component designed to prevent backflow of foul gases and odors from the drainage system into your living or working space. It is commonly used in bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms to connect sink or basin waste pipes to the main waste system. The A10V Bottle Trap features a 75mm water seal that traps a certain amount of water in its U-shaped bend, creating a barrier against gases. Additionally, it includes an anti-syphon valve that prevents negative pressure in the waste pipe from sucking out the water seal, which could allow gases to escape. The Silentrap feature reduces the noise of water draining by up to 20 decibels, making it ideal for use in noise-sensitive areas. The trap has a multifit outlet, allowing connection to various pipe sizes and materials, including copper, plastic, and iron.
