Description

General description

The McAlpine 2" X 2" Self Closing Waste Valve is a plumbing fitting designed to provide a secure and reliable connection between two pipes of the same size. This valve features a self-sealing mechanism that automatically seals when the connection is broken, effectively preventing the flow of water or other fluids. It is commonly used in plumbing systems where a quick and easy shut-off is required, such as in washing machines or other appliances. The self-sealing feature minimizes the risk of leaks and water damage during malfunctions or repairs.

Technical specifications

Size: 2" x 2"

Connection type: Compression x Compression

Materials: High-quality brass or plastic

Installation

Installation is straightforward and can be performed by a qualified plumber.

Designed to fit pipes of the same size, ensuring a watertight connection without additional sealing materials.

Can be fitted in both horizontal and vertical positions.

Usage

The internal membrane opens under water pressure to allow discharge flow and then closes to form a seal, preventing foul odors or sewer gas from entering the building.

The non-return valve prevents waste backflow or back pressure in the discharge pipe system.

Easily removable for maintenance of the discharge pipework.
