Description
The McAlpine UPSW-4-22MM Pumped Shower Waste Outlet is a plumbing fitting used for draining water from a shower tray or enclosure. Here is a breakdown of the components and features:
113mm Chrome Plated Brass Flange: This is the visible part of the waste outlet that sits on top of the shower tray or enclosure. It has a diameter of 113mm and is made of brass that is coated with a chrome finish to resist corrosion and give it an attractive appearance.
Top Access: This refers to a removable cover that sits on top of the flange and allows access to the waste outlet for maintenance and cleaning purposes. The cover is usually held in place with screws or clips.
22mm Plain Tail Outlet: This is the part of the waste outlet that connects to the drainage system. It has a diameter of 22mm and is designed to be connected to a standard 22mm pipe using a compression fitting or solvent weld.
Pumped: This means that the waste outlet is fitted with a pump that helps to move the water from the shower tray or enclosure to the drainage system. This is useful when the drainage system is located above the level of the shower tray, as it allows the water to be pumped uphill.
Overall, the McAlpine UPSW-4-22MM Pumped Shower Waste Outlet is a high-quality and reliable plumbing fitting that is designed to provide efficient drainage for shower enclosures.
