General description

Powerful metal chop saw designed for cutting profiles, pipes, and rods made of steel, non-ferrous metals, iron, and cast profiles. It features a quick clamping device with a variable mitre setting for angled cuts from -15° to 45°. The large handle is positioned transversely to the cutting axis for optimal power transmission during cutting. The saw includes an adjustable cutting depth limiter, easy and fast disc change with a spindle lock, and maximum user safety features such as a swivelling cutting guard, adjustable spark deflector sheet, and a rubberized base for secure cutting. A safety switch protects against accidental startup, and the robust machine table has practical storage for hexagonal wrenches. The saw is also easy to transport due to its built-in handle and locking device.

METABO, a brand of the German company Metabo Werke Gmbh, is an epitome of German entrepreneurship. It was founded by Albrecht Schnizler in 1923 in Nürtingen (Baden-Württemberg), in the backroom of his parents' bakery. A passionate inventor, he designed the first hand-held drill capable of piercing metal, which was widely used at the time. Named the n°18, it sold over 50,000 units, mainly in Great Britain.
