Product information

Description

The Metabo KS 216 216mm Mitre Saw Lasercut has a compact, light weight design that is suitable for one-handed transport, making it easy to move and transport. The ergonomically-designed handles and saw head lock make for a comfortable transition.

There are robust die-cast aluminium designs for the highest demands and an effective dust extraction via integrated dust scoop, keeps the saw and work place free from debris. Using the stop points allows for fast and precise setting of common angles. The integrated laser provides an exact display of the cutting line (mains powered, no batteries required).

The saw has an infinitely extendable table width extension, removable to put long panels, slabs etc. Underneath with a high sliding rear fence profiles for safe sawing. A material clamp provides secure fixing of the work piece from the top or front and the saw head can be inclined to the left, with additional angle range for undercuts.

All scales and operating elements are visible from the working position and can be operated intuitively. Easy saw blade change by means of spindle lock, so there is no dismantling of the pendulum protective cover. There is also a bright LED work light for illumination of the cutting line (mains powered, no batteries required).

Disappointed as I thought it was a radial miter saw! But it's only my fault. Otherwise good product.

The cut is clean, the teeth are a bit big but otherwise it has a great value for money. The laser is precise, left edge of the blade

METABOVisit the METABO store
METABO, a brand of the German company Metabo Werke Gmbh, is an epitome of German entrepreneurship. It was founded by Albrecht Schnizler in 1923 in Nürtingen (Baden-Württemberg), in the backroom of his parents' bakery. A passionate inventor, he designed the first hand-held drill capable of piercing metal, which was widely used at the time. Named the n°18, it sold over 50,000 units, mainly in Great Britain. In 1929, Metabo Werke was founded with two other partners; METABO derives from the German Metallbohrdreher, hand drill. Innovations in power tools followed one another: in 1950 came the first grinder, the following year the sander, then a year later the quick-release chuck, and in 1957 a world exclusive: the percussion drill... in all, more than 500 patents and designs were registered. METABO continues to manufacture its saws, hedge trimmers and screwdrivers in Germany: in 2005, more than half the company's employees were based in Germany. By 1999, the Group had become Europe's number 1 in woodworking tools, and the world's second largest.
