Description
1) Reliable protection against overload and short circuit (without residual current protection)This 2P 32 A MCB miniature circuit breaker is designed to provide effective circuit protection in the event of overload or short circuit. By tripping quickly when the current exceeds the intended limits, it helps protect conductors, appliances and the installation itself, reducing the risks associated with cable overheating, insulation ageing or damage to equipment. Please note: this model has no residual current protection (no earth leakage detection). It therefore does not replace a device intended to protect people against indirect contact. For sensitive circuits (wet rooms, outdoor sockets, kitchen, utility room, etc.), it is recommended to add an RCD/RCCB upstream or to opt for an RCBO (residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection).2) 2-pole configuration: simultaneous phase + neutral disconnection, practical for maintenanceThe 2P (bipolar) version allows the simultaneous disconnection of two conductors, typically phase and neutral on a single-phase circuit. This design is appreciated in domestic consumer units and small commercial installations, as it provides clearer circuit isolation during work, which improves maintenance comfort and safety. The miniature circuit breaker format is compact and designed for simple integration into a distribution board, in order to obtain neat, clear and easily identifiable outgoing line protection.3) 32 A rating: suitable for higher-capacity outgoing lines (depending on cable cross-section and power)With a rated current of 32 A, this MCB is suitable for circuits that require a higher capacity than standard outgoing lines (e.g. certain equipment, dedicated lines, small professional devices, circuits with higher power demand). Sizing must remain consistent: the choice of a 32 A device depends on the actual power, conductor cross-section, installation conditions and local installation rules. Oversizing the rating to avoid tripping is bad practice: the protection must be aligned with what the cable can withstand. Used correctly, this circuit breaker helps maintain a more stable and better protected installation.4) C tripping curve: a good compromise for common uses with inrush currentThe C curve is a common choice for domestic installations and small premises, as it better tolerates inrush current peaks when starting certain appliances (small motors, fans, pumps, power supplies, etc.) while still ensuring protection against faults. It is well suited to mixed circuits (sockets, small equipment, lighting + various loads) where the aim is to limit nuisance tripping while maintaining a reliable response in the event of a short circuit or prolonged overload.5) Compliant with EN 60898-1, 6 kA, 223–400 V AC, 50/60 Hz: compatible with many EU consumer unitsThis circuit breaker is stated to comply with EN 60898-1, the reference standard for miniature circuit breakers intended for domestic and similar installations. Its 6 kA breaking capacity corresponds to a level frequently sought for residential and small commercial applications (to be validated according to the short-circuit level available at the installation point). It is specified for use in 223–400 V AC and 50–60 Hz, which covers the majority of common configurations. For complete installation protection, it is advisable to check coordination with the upstream protection and, if necessary, add residual current protection suited to at-risk areas.
