Product information

Description

1) Dedicated protection for outgoing circuits, without residual current functionThis 2-pole 6 A miniature circuit breaker (MCB) is designed to protect terminal circuits in homes, shops and small electrical panels. It provides automatic disconnection in the event of overload or short circuit, limiting conductor heating and the risk of damage to equipment. Please note: this model does not include protection against current leakage (no residual current protection). For personal protection (indirect contact, risk of electric shock), it must be used together with an RCD/RCBO (residual current device or residual current circuit breaker) suitable for the installation.2) 2P: simultaneous phase + neutral disconnection, practical for maintenanceThe 2P (double-pole) format allows the phase and neutral to be isolated at the same time on a single-phase circuit, which provides greater clarity during work and better isolation of the outgoing circuit concerned. This is a common configuration when a clear power disconnection of the circuit is required for maintenance, fault finding or a more readable panel layout (lighting, control, auxiliary supply, etc.). Identification of outgoing circuits is simplified and the panel becomes more consistent, especially in small enclosures where clearly identified circuits are required.3) 6 A rating: ideal for small circuits (lighting, control, instrumentation)With a rated current of 6 A, this circuit breaker is particularly suitable for moderate loads: specific lighting circuits, control circuits, supply for small equipment or devices requiring finer protection. As an indication, on a 230 V network, 6 A theoretically corresponds to approximately 1 380 W (to be adjusted according to the diversity factor, temperature, installation method and cable cross-section). A lower rating allows earlier response in the event of an anomaly and prevents a slight but prolonged overload from raising conductor temperature.4) C tripping curve: a good compromise for everyday usesThe C curve offers performance well suited to the majority of domestic and light commercial applications: it better tolerates current peaks at start-up of certain devices (small power supplies, lighting with drivers, relays, small motors) while still tripping reliably in the event of sustained overload or short circuit. It is a versatile choice, generally preferred when stable day-to-day protection is required without nuisance tripping, while still maintaining rapid disconnection in the event of a clear fault.5) Compliance and performance: EN 60898-1, 6 kA, 230/400 V, 50/60 HzCompliant with EN 60898-1, this MCB is intended for LV installations with an AC operating voltage of 230–400 V and a frequency of 50/60 Hz. Its 6 kA breaking capacity provides an appreciable safety margin against short-circuit currents encountered in many residential environments and small commercial premises, provided that the overall panel sizing (upstream, cross-sections, prospective short-circuit current) is consistent. For a safe and durable installation: tightening to the correct torque, suitable conductors, circuit identification and installation by a qualified person are strongly recommended.
