Description
1) Reliable circuit protection, without residual current function (without earth leakage)This 4P C16A MCB miniature circuit breaker is designed to provide effective protection against overloads and short circuits in low-voltage installations. It is perfectly suited to domestic electrical consumer units, distribution boxes in commercial premises, control cabinets or small industrial panels. Its role is to quickly cut off the power supply in the event of a fault in order to limit conductor overheating, equipment damage and the risk of incidents. Important: this is a version without residual current protection; it does not detect leakage currents that could cause electric shock. For personal protection, it is recommended to add a residual current device / RCD (RCCB) upstream, or to opt for a suitable combined solution.2) 4-pole format, simultaneous disconnection of phases and neutral (ideal for three-phase 3P+N)The 4P (four-pole) configuration allows grouped disconnection of the conductors, which is particularly sought after on 400 V three-phase networks with neutral (L1/L2/L3/N), or whenever you want to clearly isolate an outgoing circuit during an intervention. This approach improves the readability of the panel and makes maintenance operations easier, while ensuring clear separation of the protected circuit. The circuit breaker fits into standard modular enclosures thanks to its compact design, suited to installations where space is limited.3) 16 A rating and 230/400 V operating voltage, for standard outgoing circuits and controlled loadsWith a rated current of 16 A, this circuit breaker is intended to protect an outgoing circuit whose wiring and load are sized accordingly (the rating should never be chosen “higher” without checking the cable cross-section and installation conditions). Its 230–400 V AC voltage range covers most European single-phase 230 V and three-phase 400 V configurations, while 50/60 Hz compatibility allows use on many types of equipment and in many environments (including certain machines or export applications). It is recommended to entrust the connection to a qualified electrician, particularly for three-phase systems.4) C tripping curve, suited to devices with inrush currentThe C curve offers a good compromise for circuits supplying loads likely to generate a start-up current: small motors, fans, circulation pumps, control compressors, power tools, etc. Compared with a B curve, it limits nuisance tripping during start-up, while maintaining a rapid response in the event of a real fault. This choice is common in residential and light commercial installations where lighting, sockets and equipment with occasionally more demanding start-up coexist.5) 6 kA breaking capacity and EN 60898-1 compliance, a European standard for modular panelsThe 6 kA breaking capacity (Icn 6 kA) corresponds to a level commonly required for residential installations, small commercial premises and standard tertiary applications, offering safe interruption capacity in the event of a short circuit in a typical environment. Compliance with EN 60898-1 facilitates integration into a selection and inspection process in line with European practices. For risk areas (kitchen, bathroom, outdoors, socket circuits in damp environments), remember to complete the installation with suitable 30 mA residual current protection: this product protects wiring and equipment against overload/short circuit, but does not replace a residual current device intended for personal protection.
