Monarch Ultimate Block Salt is available in 8kg bags, each containing 2 x 4kg blocks of high-quality food-grade salt. This product is designed for use in all Block Salt Water Softeners, including the Monarch Plumbsoft Solo and Solo Ultra Non Electric Water Softeners. Monarch is confident in the quality of their product, which is BS EN973 approved and suitable for various applications, including food preparation.

Usage

For optimum performance and efficiency, your water softener requires periodic topping up with good quality food-grade Tablet Salt. The salt blocks dissolve evenly, preventing undissolved salt from accumulating in the base of your water softener. The blocks sit in approximately 1 cm of water in the salt tank and dissolve slowly from the bottom. Once the salt drops to about a third of its size, another block can be placed on top to ensure a continuous supply of salt in the machine.

Great product -just gone from the tablets to blocks as my softener is scaled up inside and the tablets do not fall to the bottom. But with blocks this last lot as with many previously come broken in several pieces as never packaged to prevent this-so annoying
