The width between the bottom edge of the brush holder and the switch surface should be approximately 2 mm. Carbon brushes are suitable for a variety of motors, generators, and shafts. They offer improved switching performance. The carbon brush will move up and down within the brush holder. If this does not allow for smooth operation, remove any excess material. If the carbon brush is worn to a certain extent, it must be replaced. Mixing new and old brushes may result in uneven current distribution. If the carbon brush's conductor is covered with an insulating tube, it must be installed in an insulated brush holder. The surface direction must be correctly positioned; otherwise, if the contact area is too small, power output will be low or nonexistent.
