The drop-leaf hinge is designed for heavy drop-leaf lids. Gas springs allow the drop-leaf lid to descend smoothly and hold positions at 75°, 90°, or 105°. This drop-leaf hinge allows the lid to lower slowly and provides stable support for the weight when open, while protecting the cabinet structure from damage caused by impacts or the door slamming shut.
The hinge is made of solid brass and iron.
Each gas spring provides 150 Newtons of force (approximately 15 kg) and is ideal for supporting and controlling the movement of drop-leaf doors, such as those on extendable tables, drop-leaf desks, secretary desks, cabinet doors, loft hatches, or for any DIY project. Total length: 21.5 cm (compressed) to 30.5 cm (extended). The space-saving hinge extends automatically when you open the lid and won't get in your way. The brackets have slots for precise piston placement adjustment to ensure the best fit before securing them. With the included template and step-by-step instructions, you'll easily find the correct screw holes and complete the installation without any hassle. Even if you're not very handy, the process will be simple and easy. Caution: 1. This gas spring is specifically designed for hinged lids to prevent them from suddenly falling. It is not suitable for upward-opening cupboard doors or toy box lids. If used incorrectly, the gas springs may not function effectively. 2. This support arm is designed for downward-opening doors. If the door doesn't close completely, simply connect it to a small door latch to hold it closed.Features
