The Pyrex Essentials 2.2L Casserole is manufactured in France from borosilicate glass. As well as being BPA free, Borosilicate is also hygienic and resistant to stains, odours and scratches. It is also able to withstand extreme temperatures, from -40°C to +300°C and is thermal shock resistant up to 220°C - it can go straight from the freezer (-20°) into a hot oven (200°C).

This casserole dish has many uses - from simmering and steaming through to roasting. Its lid traps steam within the casserole allowing gentle cooking which helps preserve nutrients and improves taste. Being oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe adds to this casserole’s versatility - from cooking in the oven, reheating in the microwave to storing in the fridge and freezer. It’s also great for serving directly at the dinner table.
