Description
1) 2-in-1 protection (RCBO) for enhanced everyday safetyThis miniature circuit breaker with integrated residual current protection combines, in a single device, protection against overloads and short circuits (circuit breaker function) and protection against insulation faults or current leakage (residual current function). In practical terms, it quickly cuts off the power when the circuit overheats abnormally, when a short circuit occurs, or when leakage to earth may create a risk of electric shock. It is a relevant solution for improving the reliability of a domestic or light commercial installation, by limiting typical incidents (unexplained tripping, conductor overheating, insulation faults linked to humidity or ageing of appliances).2) 2P format: phase + neutral disconnection, ideal for single-phase circuitsThe 2-pole (2P) configuration allows simultaneous disconnection of phase and neutral, which suits many single-phase applications in homes and small premises (socket circuits, circuits dedicated to a specific piece of equipment, supply for a small distribution board, control box, etc.). This double-pole disconnection is appreciated for maintenance: during work, it provides a clearer power isolation of the protected circuit, with more definite isolation than a device disconnecting only one conductor. For boards where space is limited, integrating the residual current section and the circuit breaker section into a single module also makes organisation, readability and diagnostic operations easier.3) 25 A rating: suitable for intermediate-power circuits (depending on cable cross-section and use)With a rated current of 25 A, this model is suitable for intermediate-load circuits typically found in homes and small shops: certain socket lines, circuits dedicated to small equipment, supply for controls (pump, fan, small air conditioning unit, tools), etc. The choice of rating must always be consistent with the conductor cross-section, line length, installation conditions and the actual power drawn. In practice, a 25 A unit is relevant when the installation has been designed for this current level and the circuit is not overloaded. If in doubt, it is recommended to have the sizing validated by an electrician in order to avoid both cable overheating (rating too high) and repeated tripping (rating too low).4) C curve: better tolerance to inrush current, fewer nuisance tripsThe C tripping curve is designed to more easily accept inrush currents on start-up than the B curve, while still maintaining a rapid response in the event of a real fault. It is generally suitable for loads including motors, transformers or switch-mode power supplies (compressors, fans, pumps, certain air conditioners, portable power tools, equipment with capacitors, etc.), whose start-up sometimes causes a current peak. The aim is to reduce unnecessary interruptions during start-up, without compromising protection in the event of a short circuit or prolonged overload. For conventional resistive loads, the C curve also works correctly and offers appreciated versatility on mixed installations.5) EN 61009 compliance, 6 kA breaking capacity, 230-400 V range: designed for European distribution boardsCompliant with EN 61009 (RCBO-type residual current circuit breakers), this product is designed to meet the usual requirements of European installations. Its 6 kA breaking capacity provides a safety margin suited to many residential and commercial environments, ensuring proper interruption capacity in the event of a short circuit. It accepts an AC operating voltage of 230 to 400 V and a frequency of 50/60 Hz, covering the majority of standard networks. For optimal installation, it is intended for board mounting (DIN rail) and must be wired carefully (tightening of terminals, compliance with cross-sections, conductor identification). Like any protective device, its effectiveness also depends on the quality of the installation and compliance with local regulations: installation by a professional is recommended, particularly if the circuit supplies sensitive areas (kitchen, bathroom, damp rooms, outdoors).
