Installation

It is highly recommended to have the window motor installed by a professional mechanic.

If you choose to replace the window regulator yourself, follow these steps:

Remove the door panel.

Disconnect the power window switch.

Disconnect the window motor lead.

Remove the window.

Remove the regulator’s bolts and pull the regulator out of the door.

When reinstalling, test the regulator by connecting the wiring harness to the power window switch before putting the door panel back.

For some regulators, you may need to reset the auto-pinch feature.

For manual window regulators, remove the window crank handle, then the door panel, and either punch or drill out the regulators or loosen the bolts attaching it to the door and window track.
