General description

Recoil inserts are made from high-quality stainless steel wire with a diamond-shaped cross section wound into a spring thread shape. They are designed to reinforce or repair threaded holes, providing a secure and durable thread. These inserts are larger in diameter than the tapped hole and, during installation, they are compressed and then spring back to permanently anchor in the hole. This design offers increased contact area and strength compared to the original thread, making them suitable for repairing stripped or damaged threads.
