Description

General description

Recoil inserts are made from high-quality stainless steel wire with a diamond-shaped cross section, wound into a spring thread shape. They are designed to repair or reinforce damaged or worn threads in tapped holes. The insert is larger in diameter than the tapped hole and is compressed during installation. Once inserted, it springs back to its original shape, permanently anchoring itself in the hole. Due to their larger diameter, recoil inserts provide a greater contact area and are generally stronger than the original thread, offering improved durability and load capacity.
