If you want to protect pets or children from stairs and doors or block off certain areas of the home for your dog, you can do this with this extendable wooden gate. Thanks to its variable width, the free-standing children's door gate is suitable for both narrower and wider passages. With the 2 foot positions, you can also individually adapt the dog gate to the area to be closed off. The clever plastic wall brackets prevent your pet from simply pushing the dog step gate away.

The barrier is aesthetic but for the price I find that it is not robust enough to prevent a child from pushing it.
