Description
1) 2-in-1 protection for enhanced everyday safetyThis modular circuit breaker with integrated residual current protection (RCBO) combines in a single device protection against overloads and short circuits as well as protection against current leakage (risk of electric shock). It is designed to effectively secure the circuits of a home or small commercial premises (shop, office, light workshop). In the event of a fault (overheating due to excessive current, solid short circuit, insulation fault, equipment whose casing accidentally becomes live), it trips quickly to cut off the power supply and reduce the risk of electrical fires and personal injury. Combining circuit breaker + residual current protection makes the installation more compact in the consumer unit, makes circuit-by-circuit protection easier to read and simplifies maintenance, particularly when fault-finding.2) 1P+N format: ideal for single-phase circuits and cleaner disconnectionThe 1P+N format is particularly suited to standard single-phase installations. It provides protection and disconnection of the phase, while integrating a switched neutral pole (associated disconnection), which improves ease of intervention and safety during diagnostic operations or equipment replacement. In a distribution board, this configuration allows more complete disconnection than a simple 1P, particularly when working on an outgoing circuit while limiting wiring ambiguities. To ensure correct operation, it is important to follow phase/neutral identification, avoid mixed neutrals between circuits and ensure reliable tightening of the terminals (installation recommended by a qualified professional).3) C32A rating: designed for more demanding circuits and loads with inrush currentWith a 32 A rating (C32) and a C tripping curve, this device is intended for circuits requiring higher current, for example certain dedicated socket outlets, powerful household appliances or equipment with inrush current (small motors, fans, pumps, air conditioners depending on configuration). The C curve limits nuisance tripping at start-up, while ensuring rapid disconnection in the event of a short circuit or overcurrent. As an indication, in single-phase at around 230 V, 32 A corresponds to approximately 7 kW (order of magnitude). Sizing nevertheless depends on conductor cross-section, line length, installation conditions and the board selectivity plan.4) Operating range and compliance: designed for low-voltage boards in an EU environmentThe device is intended for an AC operating voltage of 230–400 V and a frequency of 50–60 Hz, covering the majority of low-voltage environments encountered in Europe. It is stated to comply with EN 61009, the reference standard for residual current circuit breakers (RCBOs) combining overcurrent protection and residual current protection. For a complete description according to usage in France, the residual current sensitivity (e.g. 30 mA) and the type of residual current protection (AC/A/F…) are important pieces of information, not specified here, and may be decisive depending on the circuits to be protected.5) 6 kA breaking capacity: suitable for residential and small commercial installationsWith a breaking capacity of 6 kA, this residual current circuit breaker is sized to interrupt short-circuit currents corresponding to most situations encountered in homes, local shops and small installations. It helps protect cables, wiring accessories (socket outlets, luminaires) and connected equipment, while improving continuity of service thanks to precise protection for each outgoing circuit. For an optimal result, installation on a DIN rail, conductor identification and functional testing must be carried out in accordance with good practice and the regulations applicable to the site.
