• Ronseal Direct to Metal Paint provides a tough, durable, and protective finish for metal surfaces. It can be applied directly to rust without the need for a primer and offers a quick recoat time. The paint is water-based, low odour, and showerproof in 30 minutes. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and offers up to 15 years of protection.

Installation

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, and grease
• Remove loose rust or paint with a wire brush or sandpaper
• For previously painted surfaces, lightly sand or remove flaking paint
• Stir the paint thoroughly before application
• Apply with a brush, roller, or spray, diluting with water if spraying
• Allow 2-4 hours between coats; apply 2-3 coats for best results

Usage

• Apply directly to clean, dry metal surfaces, including rusted areas
• For optimal durability, apply 3 coats on rusty or heavily corroded surfaces
• Touch dry in 30 minutes; full cure in a few hours
• Clean brushes and rollers with warm soapy water after use
