General description

Rustins Original Danish Oil is a unique formulation suitable for all types of wood, both interior and exterior. It is an easy-to-use wipe-on finish that enhances the natural beauty of timber, providing a soft, open-grained, and durable finish. This oil differs from Teak Oil as it contains special ingredients that prevent it from drying to a gloss. Ideal for furniture, doors, window frames, cladding, garden furniture, and turned woodwork, it penetrates deeply into the wood, forming a water-resistant seal without leaving a thick or glossy film.

Compatibility and accessories

Suitable for all types of wood, including turned woodwork and previously treated surfaces

Can be tinted with Rustin's Wood Dye for color customization

Wood Dye can also be added directly to the Danish Oil to create a tinted finish

Installation

Apply liberally with a clean cloth or brush

Wipe off excess oil after a few minutes

Allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours before handling or applying additional coats

For new wood, typically 3 coats are recommended for optimal results

Surface must be clean and dry before application

Usage

Apply to interior and exterior wooden surfaces such as furniture, doors, window frames, and garden furniture

Deeply penetrates the wood, drying to a hard, water-resistant seal

Does not peel, chip, or craze over time

Easy to use with minimal skill required; simply spread and wipe off surplus
