Overview :
Presentation: This flexible adhesive SIKA Sikaflex 145 is a single-component adhesive adapted to the flexible bonding of tiles in exterior. Its application is easy, it comes out as a paste and therefore does not run. It is a non-corrosive product that can be applied on most of the supports usually encountered in tile laying: gluing tiles together, on fiber cement plates and on wood. This product is classified A+ "very low emissions" on the index of emission of volatile substances in the air presenting a risk of toxicity by inhalation, on a scale of class going from A+ (very low emissions) to C (strong emissions). Sika is a leading chemical company in the development and manufacture of systems and products for bonding, sealing, soundproofing, reinforcement and protection in the construction and automotive industries. Product innovation and excellence in quality and service have been the company's priorities for over 100 years now! Advantages: Easy application, pasty appearance, does not run. Fast curing and no shrinkage. Non-corrosive product. Good adhesion to most materials used in tile roofing. Good resistance to natural aging. Skin formation time: ≈ 60 minutes at +23°C and 50% RH Curing speed: ≈ 3 mm in 24 hours at +23°C and 50% RH Application Temperature: +5°C to +40°C and at least 3°C above dew point. Tile adhesive, or tile mortar, comes in different brands and with a range of technical specifications. Standard ready-mixed adhesive, C1, C2, C2T, C2F, C2G tile adhesive... it can be hard to know where to start but applying the wrong tile adhesive can result in it quickly becoming unstuck.
