Tile Backer boards are specifically designed for two primary purposes: as a first-class heat insulation for underfloor heating systems and as a superior waterproof surface for fixing wall or floor tiles.

Technical specifications

  • Dimensions: 1250mm x 600mm (0.75 metres) x 6mm thick
  • Waterproof and dimensionally stable
  • High compression strength
  • Lightweight and easy to cut with a sharp knife or fine tooth saw

    • Usage

  • Ideal for underfloor heating mats and under-tile heating cable applications
  • Accepts heavy wall tiles, unlike plasterboard (correct installation method must be followed)
  • Reduces heat-up time and running costs when installed below underfloor heating systems on existing un-insulated concrete or timber sub-floors
  • Provides excellent sound insulation, greatly reducing impact sound
  • Facilitates the fast creation of tiled partition walls anywhere within the home
