Make sure the motorcycle is in neutral!!! Even with the ignition off!
Before removing an old solenoid from a motorcycle, you can test it.
Applying 12 volts to the two wires inside of the plastic connector, the solenoid is polarity sensitive.
Applying 12 volts in the wrong polarity does not harm the solenoid, it simply will not work.
< p>When 12 volts are correctly applied to both grandsons:If the starter cranks, the solenoid, battery and starter are all good.
If the solenoid emits an audible click but your starter won't start, the solenoid is good.
