The Stanley S160 Stud Sensor is a versatile material detector designed to locate wood, metal, and live electrical wires within walls or partitions. It helps identify the center of studs, beams, or other materials, ensuring safe and accurate drilling or cutting. The device provides both visual and audible signals to guide you to the detected material's position, making it ideal for tasks such as wall mounting, hanging shelves, or running electrical cables.

Input power: 2 x AAA batteries (included)

Installation

Insert the batteries into the device.

Turn on the detector using the single ON/OFF button.

Calibrate the device if necessary, following the instructions.

Usage

Place the detector flat against the wall or surface.

Move slowly across the surface to scan for materials.

Watch for visual LED signals and listen for audible beeps indicating detection.

Mark the center of the detected material for accurate drilling or cutting.

Other information

Automatic calibration helps improve detection accuracy.
