Choosing the right base, which is best for you? There are 2 different base options on our planters:

• Solid 2" thick, pressure treated wood.
• Semi-permeable membrane.

We would suggest a membrane base for all planters, unless:

• Your planter is sitting on decking. The solid base will reduce the stress on the decking and preserve its lifespan.
• You wish to move the planter when full of soil.
• You wish to place the planter on feet, or you want to make it sit level on uneven ground. (Particularly important for benches)
