Description

General description

A fast fit fixing kit designed for bar valve showers, simplifying the installation of bar shower valves. This kit eliminates the need for in-wall support battens and reduces the risk of in-wall leakage, as all joints are located outside the wall. It is suitable for all UK manufactured bar valves.

Technical specifications

Inlet pipe size: 15mm copper tube

Inlet centres: approximately 150mm

Thread fittings: 3/4"

Protrusion from finished surface tile: 30mm +/- 2mm

Hole diameter through tiles: approximately 20mm

Olive protrusion from wall plate: at least 4mm

Installation

Check that the thermostatic mixer valve (TMV) has inlets at approximately 150mm centres and 3/4" thread fittings.

Fit inlet pipes in 15mm copper tube so the outlets are at 150mm centres using the provided template.

Ensure the inlet pipes allow for about 2mm adjustment in each direction.

Fit the wall plate over the copper tube and mark a suitable place to drill holes.

Drill holes, fit wall plugs, and lightly secure the wall plate with screws.

Adjust the fittings to level the mixer valve using the screw plate.

Fit the olive to protrude at least 4mm from the wall plate and tighten the chrome plated threaded adaptor.

Check the TMV fits to the wall plates, adjust for level, and tighten screws.

Fit the cover plates provided with your thermostatic bar valve and attach the bar using the washers included with the bar valve.
