The filters didn't fit my cooker hood, so I couldn't attach them even though they looked identical. One broke because I tried to force it into place, turning it the quarter turn it needed. As a result, I had to open them up, transfer the charcoal into the original filters that were already on my hood, after thoroughly degreasing them, and then put everything back together. Nothing beats a good original part, that's for sure.
