It allows you to connect older vehicle models equipped with a 16 pin OBD1 connector to your OBDII diagnostic device, enabling your scanner or scan tool to detect errors and identify malfunctions.

Hello indeed I am disappointed because it is marked OBD 1 to OBD 2, I expected OBD 1 8 pin to OBD 2 16 pin. But in the end it is just a very small OBD 2 16 pin extension so it is useless!!!
