Description
General Description
The frequency converter is a module designed to convert a pulse signal with a frequency of 0 to 200 Hz into an analog voltage signal of 0 to 5 V. It is ideal for interfacing between PLCs and motion control systems, thus facilitating communication between different industrial equipment.Technical Specifications
- Item Type: Frequency-to-Voltage Conversion Module
- Model: FV-200Hz5V
- Input Frequency: 0-200 Hz
- Output Current: 5 mA
- Response Time: 0.3 to 0.5 seconds
- Size: Approximately 4.5 x 4.7 x 1.7 cm (1.8 x 1.9 x 0.7 inches)
- Input Supply Voltage Range: 12-30 VDC (15-24 VDC recommended)
Installation
- Connect the positive power input to 12-30 VDC.
- Connect GND to the negative power input (common ground wire).
- Connect the negative pulse frequency input to GND.
- For the positive pulse frequency input, use the 0-10 kHz terminal.
- The analog output is available on the 0-10V terminal.
Operation
- The multi-turn potentiometer on the board allows calibration of the frequency-voltage relationship.
- For use with a PLC, the module supports the NPN type and requires a ground wire.
- If an encoder is used, it must be rotated at a constant speed for more than 0.5 seconds.
- If there is a discrepancy during calibration, the blue potentiometer can be adjusted to fine-tune the calibration.
Other Information
- When used with a flow meter, an 817 diaphragm and a resistor may be required for normal operation.
- The module is powered and should be handled with care to avoid connection errors.
