1. Insert the batteries, attach the stainless steel hanging ring and hook to the electronic scale, ensuring a secure fit. Press the power button. The display will show “8888”, indicating that the scale is initializing. Once initialization is complete, the display will flash three times, then return to zero, and the scale will be in weighing mode. 2. Unit selection: Press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds. A beep (“B”) will sound to indicate the unit change. This product offers three units: kg, lb, and Jin (Chinese Jin). 3. Tare (zeroing): Press the TARE button. The display will return to zero and flash three times to fully tare the scale. 4. Automatic/manual lock mode selection: Use the TARE button (AT/H) to switch between these modes. With the scale powered on, press and hold the TARE button for 2 seconds. A beep (“B”) sounds, and “L-ON” or “L-OF” appears on the display. L-ON stands for automatic lock, L-OF for manual lock. Note: Automatic lock means the scale stores the current value and emits an audible signal once the weight of the weighed item has stabilized. The value is retained even if the item is removed. Manual lock does not store the weight value. To lock it, press the HOLD (MODE) button once the value has stabilized. 5. Unlocking: Once locked, the value remains unchanged regardless of weight changes. To further increase or decrease the weight, press the HOLD button to unlock. After unlocking, the new value will be locked if the weight changes while in automatic lock mode. 6. Backlight: The backlight of this product is dynamically controlled. It will automatically turn off after 5 seconds of inactivity (no button presses or weight changes). It will switch back on as soon as a button is pressed or the weight is changed. 7. Switching off and automatic shutdown: Press the ON/OFF button to switch the device off manually. If no button is pressed or no weighing is performed within 120 seconds of switching on, the device will switch off automatically. To prevent overloading and damage to the scale, reduce the weight immediately.
