Description

General description

Once applied, Smartseal wood sealer creates an invisible waterproof barrier that helps prevent moisture ingress on pressure-treated softwoods such as fences, sheds, garden furniture, and decking. This wood waterproofer is specially formulated to protect outdoor wooden surfaces for up to 10 years. The water-resistant surface inhibits the growth and spread of mould and algae, particularly in shaded north-facing areas or locations with high rainfall.

Installation

Ensure all wooden surfaces are thoroughly cleaned before application.

Apply only to dry surfaces with no rain forecast for at least 4 hours.

Apply 2 coats using a sprayer, roller, or brush, with the second coat applied within 4 hours of the first.

Usage

Inhibits the spread of moss and algae.

Helps prevent warping.

Invisible once dry, will not change the appearance of the wood.

User-friendly non-biocidal formulation.

Wood remains 'breathable' after application.

Other information

Wear appropriate safety wear during application.

Cannot be painted over or used on top of paint, as they will prevent one another from adhering to the wood.

Have applied this product to a new garden shed, not used before so only time will tell if it really helps to keep wood in a good condition. Easy to apply using sprayer as to instructions.
