On this page, you will find our bare electrical panels, a basic element to safely house a circuit. Follow our advice at the bottom of the page to determine which one you need!
Starting on the installation or renovation of an electrical circuit requires some recommendations because dealing with electricity is not without danger...
The precautions to take beforehand.
First of all, designing an electrical installation does not happen on a whim… It's a tough task to tackle, especially if you do not have any electrical knowledge. We recommend that you thoroughly research before embarking on this adventure, which could turn out to be perilous if you do not have all the information.
Moreover, to ensure an installation “free from danger”, you must make sure that the equipment complies with the current regulations. Refer to the norm NF C 15-100 to know all the safety rules.
ManoMano offers you bare electric cabinets from major brands (F-TRONIC, GENERAL ELECTRIC, ETA, HAGER…) guaranteeing a certain level of protection regarding tightness against the intrusion of solid and liquid foreign bodies. This protection index is always specified on the product information sheet.
Determine the size of the bare electric panel: the number of modules.
The electric panel is characterized by its number of modules. These correspond to the space taken by a protective element (door, fuse, divisional circuit breaker…).
The question you need to ask yourself before buying your electric panel is therefore how many modules do you need for your installation? To help you find an answer, we offer these two main guidelines:
First, you should list all the elements that require electric current (outlets, lights, water heater…). With this list, you can determine the number of residual-current devices and divisional circuit breakers (these two elements protect from the risk of short-circuit) you will need.
With this information, you are now ready to choose your electrical cabinet, knowing that a divisional circuit breaker requires one module while a residual-current device takes up two modules.
Now it's your turn to play!
