Gas stoves are useful both at home and for outdoor outings. Whether it's a two-burner, tripod or paella burner, these cookers are primarily characterized by their number of burners, stability, and the type of gas they can use.
Gas stoves offer various advantages:
- their compactness and light weight make them easy to transport during outings (hiking, camping);
- the heating power is adjustable according to needs;
- it is possible to remove the gas cylinder when the device is not in use to optimize safety;
- some models are specifically designed to be used in extreme weather conditions (severe cold).
The offered devices adapt to various uses.
- Light and compact models operating with a C206 type aluminum cartridge are suitable for camping and hiking. They easily find their place in a backpack.
- The one-burner cooktop is an alternative, but it requires a valve-type bottle such as 901, 904, or 907.
- The tripod model, also called a paella burner, stands out for its stability and the possibility of increasing the heating power thanks to 3 independent knobs. This equipment, suitable for prolonged use, works with deposit bottles of type 901, 904, or 907.
- The mini stove with 2 or 3 burners is powered by a deposit valve gas bottle. It is suitable for outdoor activities.
The stoves available differ by the type of gas used:
- devices operating on butane can be used as long as the temperature does not drop below zero;
- those operating on isobutane are suitable if the temperature is above -12 °C;
- models powered by propane can be used up to -40 °C;
- versions operating on natural gas are intended for indoor use and can be connected to the city gas network;
- devices operating on LPG benefit from a high energy value.
Various parameters are to be considered in choosing the equipment.
- Weight is a significant criterion for hiking enthusiasts. Models with an aluminum cartridge are most suitable for this activity.
- The number of burners depends on the number of users and the use of the equipment.
- Stability ensures users' safety. Models equipped with 3 or 4 legs are the most stable.
Regardless of the gas stove chosen, it is recommended not to use any gas other than that indicated by the manufacturer. Moreover, children must be kept away from the device.
