All products are made from natural wood, which may have some splits and cracks due to weather changes. The pressure treatment protects against rot for up to 15 years, but regular maintenance with furniture oil or linseed oil is recommended to prolong the wood's life and appearance. The timber can also be painted or stained if desired.
