The white/wood side gives charm to the piece of furniture. I chose 2 pieces of furniture with 5 levels, and ordered nice wooden lockers, width 31 x depth 23 x height 16 cm (2 per shelf) in order to store small laundry and odds and ends because it is obvious that the depth does not does not allow for much storage. Otherwise for books it must be ideal I think. It is not reported but concerning the white of the walls and shelves, it is stained wood therefore not completely opaque which reveals the grain of the pine. Seems quite solid, no problem with assembly if you follow the instructions correctly (and don't panic, there are always small parts left at the end that were useless!)

Very nice piece of furniture just downside the bottom is a bit short and does not stay well fixed

the bottom was curved the whole is of very average quality. Notice not clear enough to differentiate the elements
