Description

• DowSIL 784 Glazing Sealant is a one-part silicone sealant designed for sealing glass, aluminum, and other non-porous surfaces. It provides excellent adhesion and weather resistance, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The sealant contains a fungicide to prevent mold growth, ideal for humid areas such as windows, bathrooms, and kitchens. It conforms to ISO 11600-G-20LM and withstands ozone, UV radiation, and temperature extremes. It is clear in color and easy to apply with a cartridge and sealant gun.

Installation

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from frost, old sealants, and contaminants. Clean and degrease surfaces with a suitable solvent such as DOWSIL™ R-40 Universal Cleaner.
• Apply the sealant using a sealant gun. Tool the joint within 5 minutes of application for optimal adhesion.
• Excess uncured sealant can be cleaned with DOWSIL™ R-40 Universal Cleaner. If sealant adheres to porous surfaces, wait until it cures and then remove mechanically.

Usage

• Apply to joints in windows, doors, bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas exposed to weather or humidity.
• Allow the sealant to cure for 24 hours; it cures at approximately 2mm per 24 hours.
