General description

Bedec Barn Paint is a tough, water-based paint designed for various surfaces including wood, plastic, concrete, weathered galvanised steel, brick, and cladding. It offers excellent colour retention and is available in multiple finishes such as Matt, Satin, and Semi-Gloss, with colours including Matt Black, Satin Black, Gloss Black, Grey, Country Cream, Dark Oak, Chestnut, and Jacobean Walnut. This paint is ideal for protecting exterior buildings like barns, stables, sheds, and fences, and can be applied to previously painted surfaces, including those coated with weathered bitumen, tar, or varnish.

Installation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application.

For untreated weathered wood, new wood, cement render, plaster, brickwork, or any porous substrate, dilute the first coat with up to 30% clean water.

Apply a primer sealer to knots before painting to prevent them from bleeding through.

Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray.

Light sanding is recommended for tanalised timber prior to painting.

Usage

Suitable for exterior applications on buildings, fencing, gates, farm equipment, tanks, drainpipes, doors, and windows.

Resistant to cracking, blistering, and flaking.

Protects against weather, rot, and algal damage.

Flexes with the substrate to reduce flaking or cracking.
