Description

General description

Bedec Barn Paint is a tough, water-based paint designed for a variety of surfaces including wood, plastic, concrete, weathered galvanised steel, brick, and cladding. Available in a Semi-Gloss finish, it offers excellent colour retention and protection for exterior buildings such as barns, stables, sheds, and more. This paint can be applied to previously painted surfaces, including those coated with weathered bitumen, tar, or varnish.

Installation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application.

For untreated weathered wood or porous substrates, dilute the first coat with up to 30% clean water as a primer sealer.

Apply an exterior knot block primer to knots before painting to minimize bleed-through.

Light sanding is recommended for tanalised timber prior to painting.

Usage

Bedec Barn Paint is ideal for protecting various exterior structures and surfaces, including fencing, gates, farm equipment, tanks, drainpipes, doors, and windows. It is designed to flex with the substrate, reducing the risk of flaking or cracking, and is resistant to weather, rot, and algal damage.

Available colors include Matt Black, Satin Black, Gloss Black, Grey, Country Cream, Dark Oak, Chestnut, and Jacobean Walnut.

Not recommended for substrates treated with water-repellent preservatives.

Provides excellent resistance in outdoor environments, even in severe weather conditions.
