General description

SmartSeal Block Paving Sealer is a solvent-based acrylic sealer designed to enhance the appearance and longevity of block paving and flagstones. It provides a natural-looking matt finish while combating staining and weed growth. This sealer increases abrasion resistance, protects jointing sand from erosion, and creates a barrier against contaminants, making maintenance easier.

Application rate: 2.5 m² per litre (1st coat), 3.5 m² per litre (2nd coat)

Vehicle traffic: Minimum 24 hours at 20°C

Temperature range for application: 12 - 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all surface debris.

Leave paving to dry for 3-4 clear and dry days.

Brush kiln-dried sand into all joints before sealing.

Apply 2 coats of Block Paving Sealer using a roller or sprayer, allowing 2-3 hours between coats.

Allow 24 hours for the sealer to completely cure.

Usage

Suitable for most patio slabs and block paving.

Not to be used on clay pavers.

For previously sealed block paving, ensure compatibility before application.

Clean all equipment with Smartseal tool cleaner after use.

Do not apply deicing salts directly on sealed surfaces.

Smartseal Block Paving Sealer has been tested by the TRL and meets the SRV for all categories of paving.

Health & Safety: Flammable liquid; keep the application area well ventilated and wear a respirator during application.
