General description

SmartSeal Block Paving Sealer is a solvent-based acrylic sealer designed to provide a natural-looking matt finish for block paving and flagstones. It effectively combats staining and weed growth while enhancing the color and aesthetic appeal of both new and mature surfaces. This sealer increases abrasion resistance, protects jointing sand from erosion, and creates a barrier against contaminants, making maintenance easier.

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all surface debris.

Leave paving to dry for 3-4 clear and dry days.

Brush kiln-dried sand into all joints before sealing.

Apply 2 coats of Block Paving Sealer using a roller or sprayer, allowing 2-3 hours between coats.

Allow 24 hours for the sealer to completely cure.

Usage

Protects against loss of color due to UV light.

Resists oil and stain penetration.

Inhibits weed and algae growth.

Expected protection duration: 3-5 years, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

Other information

Do not use on clay pavers.

For areas contaminated with weeds and moss, treat with Smartseal Fungicidal Wash.

Remove oil and other stains using Smartseal Cleaner/Oil Remover.

Moisture in the paver and sand can inhibit sealer penetration and cause whiteness.

Health & Safety: Flammable liquid; keep the application area well-ventilated, wear a respirator, and store in a cool place.

Tested by the TRL for skid resistance; copies of the certification are available on request.
