Nice piece of furniture and practical for storing all my books. Small problem: its smell!! Very unpleasant and takes a long time to go away even after leaving the furniture outside for 1 week.

The bookcase is lovely, but for the price, don't expect top quality. I'm not giving it 5 stars because you have to be very careful assembling it; if you overtighten or unscrew the pieces, the wood breaks easily. The instructions are a bit difficult to read; the diagrams are very small (I'm 34, it's not bad eyesight), and it shows several steps in the same diagram. But it does get assembled. In my case, the smell—well, it smells a bit like wood and paint—has faded over time with a few days of airing it out. I absolutely love it; it looks beautiful, and for the price, you can't ask for more. I recommend it if it's what you need; it's super cute!

The attractive price and the constraint of dimensions erase certain disadvantages. The wood is solid, nicely rustic, but the side panels allowing the drawer to slide were extremely fragile: they split right out of the box and had to be glued. The assembly is not easy for someone who is not experienced in the field and we spend well over 1 hour contrary to what is mentioned on the instructions. A good tip: it is better to drill (a twist is enough) the holes in the wood before screwing ...
